Homemade Energy-Boosting Ladoo |
In my little kitchen, I love experimenting with different ingredients and creating dishes that tell a story. Each recipe has its own tale, whether it's a childhood favorite or a new adventure.
But rekhadiaries is more than just cooking – it's a celebration of the happiness that comes with making and sharing food. It's about turning simple ingredients into something special, and finding inspiration in the colors and flavors of nature.
So, whether you're a cooking pro or just starting out, this blog is for you. Let's dive into recipes, share stories, and enjoy the journey of creating and savoring good food together.
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios, etc.)
1/2 cup dried fruits (raisins, dates, apricots, etc.)
1/4 cup seeds (chia seeds, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (for binding)
1/4 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Begin by roasting the rolled oats in a dry pan over medium heat until they turn slightly golden and fragrant. Move the contents to a bowl and allow them to cool.
Chop and Mix:
Chop the nuts and dried fruits into small pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine the roasted oats, chopped nuts, dried fruits, and seeds.
Add Flavors:
Sprinkle the cinnamon and cardamom powder over the mixture. Add a pinch of salt as well. Give everything a good mix to evenly distribute the flavors.
Sweet and Sticky:
Warm the honey or maple syrup slightly, so it becomes easier to work with. Add it to the bowl along with the nut butter. Mix everything thoroughly until the mixture becomes sticky and holds together when pressed.
Time to Shape:
Now comes the fun part. Take a small handful of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball. Gently press and shape it into a compact ladoo. Continue performing this procedure until the entire mixture is utilized.
Set and Enjoy:
Place the energy-boosting ladoos on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper. Allow them to rest in the refrigerator for approximately one hour. This helps them hold their shape.
Indulge:
Once set, your homemade energy-boosting ladoos are ready to be enjoyed! Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, and grab one whenever you need a quick and natural energy kick.
These energy-boosting ladoos are not only a tasty treat but also a smart way to refuel your body on the go. Whether you're tackling a busy day or preparing for an outdoor adventure, these little power-packed bites have got your back. Plus, they're a great way to sneak in some nutrient-rich ingredients into your diet. So, roll up your sleeves, gather your ingredients, and let the ladoo-making adventure begin!
