Ingredients

  • 250 gram Green beans (French Beans) 
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 small black mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 
  • 1 pinch asafoetida
  • 1/3 Carom (optional)
  • Blackpepper as per your taste ( If you are making for kids you can avoid it)  
  • Salt as per your taste.

How to make Stir Fried Green Beans Recipe?

  • To begin making  Stir Fried French Beans Recipe, clean, wash and dry green beans. Remove the tips and cut them into 3 to 4 pieces.
  • Chopped the garlic.
  • Next, heat the oil in a wok on medium heat. Add in it black mustard, asafoetida ,chopped garlic and saute for a few seconds. Next add chopped beans ,stir it , cover it  and cook on medium  flame. Ensure to consistently stir the mixture at regular intervals to prevent it from scorching or sticking to the bottom of the pan. When half cooked, add turmeric, salt, black pepper powder in it and cook it again with cover for 3 to 5 minutes. Your stir fried beans are ready to eat now. Serve it  as a side dish with hot white rice , parathas or poories .This dish is very much  liked by adults as well as children.
