How to make mushroom and green peas curry?

Mushroom and green peas curry
Ingredients:

1 cup green peas (matar)

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 onion, finely chopped

2 tomatoes, finely chopped

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, minced

1 green chili, finely chopped

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chili powder

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

2 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a pan and toss in cumin seeds. As soon as they begin to sizzle, introduce finely chopped onions and stir until they acquire a golden brown hue.
  • Incorporate the ginger and garlic, giving them a minute to infuse their flavors.
  • Introduce the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften and transform into a mushy consistency.
  • Add a dash of cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and a pinch of salt. Blend the ingredients thoroughly and let them cook together for 2 minutes..
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and green peas and mix well.
  • Add 2 cups of water, cover and cook until the peas and mushrooms are soft and the curry is thick.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
