Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until it reaches a smooth consistency.
  • Then, add oats, milk, egg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the mashed banana, ensuring all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Allow the mixture to rest for approximately 5 minutes to allow the oats to soften
  • Heat a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of deshi ghee or butter.
  • Pour one spoon small amounts of the pancake batter onto the pan, creating small round pancakes. You can adjust the size based on your child's preference.
  • Cook the pancakes over medium heat for approximately 2-3 minutes until bubbles start to form on the surface. Once this occurs, flip the pancakes and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until they achieve a desirable golden brown color.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more deshi ghee or butter as needed.
  • Once cooked, transfer the pancakes to a plate and let them cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve the pancakes as is or with a topping of your choice, such as a drizzle of pure maple syrup, yogurt, or fresh fruits.
  • Allow the pancakes to cool further if necessary to ensure a safe eating temperature for your little one.

Note: Always ensure that the pancakes are cut into bite-sized pieces appropriate for your child's age and development to prevent choking hazards. Remember to introduce new foods gradually and watch for any allergies or sensitivities.
